Now that my work has been delivered to the gallery, I’ve been able to spend a few days in the garden, catching up with the usual tasks of late spring – trimming, tying, weeding and mounding up the potatoes. It was warmer than usual for May and there’s been incredible growth – the lushness that greeted me on my return from the south was staggering!
I love being out there, often on my knees, focusing on the tiny things in this other world which buzzes and hums with life around and above me… and the studio can wait another day.
